NAMS State UP Chapter Cell 2023
A CME was organizedat Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, Era University, Lucknow by State Chapter U.P, National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) in association with Chest Care and Research Society on 18th March 2024. The lecture was delivered by Dr. (Prof) P.K. Vedanthan, MD Clinical Professor of Medicine, and University of Colorado Denver, Colorado USA who was the guest speaker for the CME. Dr (Prof.) K.B Gupta HOD and Prof. Department of Respiratory Medicine, ELMCH, Lucknow welcomedall the guests. Dr. (Prof) P.K. Vedanthan in his lecture laid emphasis on drug allergy and how history taking plays a crucial role in the diagnosis of drug allergy and should be taken in an elaborate manner. He further talked about de-labeling of Drug Allergy.
The CME was inaugurated by Dr. (Prof) A.A Mahdi FAMS Vice Chancellor, Era University, Lucknow who was the Chief Guest for the CME. He also shared his views regarding drug allergies. Dr. (Prof)Farzana Mahdi FAMS, Pro Vice Chancellor, Era University Lucknow was the Guest of Honor. Before the guest lecture Dr. (Prof) Rajendra Prasad FAMS, Chairperson/Convener, State Chapter (UP), National Academy of Medical Sciences (India),Director of Medical Education and Professor, Department of Respiratory Medicine, ELMCH, Lucknow spoke about the National Academy of Medical Sciences, India and requested everyone to be a part of the academy and to organize regular CME by every department. The CME was also attended by Dr. (Prof.) Jamal Masood Principal and CMS ELMCH, Lucknow, Dr. M.M Faridi Dean Emeritus ELMCH Lucknow.Around 100Faculty, Postgraduate students Undergraduate Students, And Nursing Students attended the CME. Several Fellows and Members of the National Academy also attended online.A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.AnandVerma who concluded the programme and thanked everyone who attended the CME.
